Did your truck come with a painted grill surround or a chrome one? I was looking at Ford's website and it said that the XLT's are supposed to come with a chrome surround. Did my dealer swap mine out or do some of them have the painted surround?

 

Mine came with a black surround.I think you would have to get the chrome pkg. for it to come with a chrome grill surround.

 

Lariat and King Ranch have the chrome surround.

NEW for 2006/7 is an XLT Chrome Edition which includes the chrome surround.

Is your XLT a 2006/7 with the Chrome Edition package?

Mine came with a silver surround same color as my truck. Like everyone else has said I think you need the chrome package to get the chrome surround.

Chrome package was an option I chose to pass on for my XLT

 

Color match surround looks better ne way.

 

All 2007 XLT's and Lariats come with the chrome surround no matter what. As has been said before the 2006's only had a chrome surround if they have chrome package. I would also have to agree that the painted surround looks much better.

Mine came with the painted surround......IMO..the chrome adds too much bling...
