Anyone have any pics of a properly installed hood pin switch for a remote start/alarm? i'm getting ready to install a Scytek Galaxy 5000RS-2W and i need a good spot for the hood switch. BTW, does anyone know if these trucks have a factory hood switch? I was told that if it does, i can just tap into this switch instead of drilling a hole for the hood pin switch. Also, where does everyone mount their brain module for the alarms/remotestarters?

 

i have a viper 5900 SST and this is how my hood switch is mounted , and my brain is located behind my light switch on the dash

 

Can you access that area from under the dash or do you have to pull panels?

 

on the side of the next to the door on the dash there is a panel, it has a round hole on it, remove it then remove the light switch panel, then the panel under the steering wheel remove it and the plate of metal and that gives you plenty of room to move around and get everythin situated

 

Does anyone install their hood pin switch near the hood latch? This was where i was told to install it, but that is kind of a vague description IMO.
