A personal investigation does not equal a fact. My ignition works fine. Plug wires can be bad and lead to miss-firing also. The only thing you spoon feed is your EGO!
I am glad you and one very knowledgeable shade tree mechanics personal investigations are so much better than an automotive companies that have a staff of engineers testing these and developing them. If you think it is such a bad design and are going to whine about it then maybe you should just sell your junky marginal ignition, plug jamming ford and get you one of them goofy looking Chevrolet's or better yet send your money to Japan and get a tundra. I would buy a hundred fords before I would buy a Toyota, my grandpa didn't fight the Japanese so I could send them my money. As far as reading, I can read fine, I can also separate facts from opinion and I don't believe everything I read on message boards. Windbags and blowhards are a dime a dozen as can be readily seen from reading your post's.
Would those be the same staff of engineers that created this plug design? LOL!

That 'shadetree mechanic' has forgotten more than you'll ever know - didn't bother to search, did you?

Yup - I was right - you really can't read, search or display any sort of comprehension skills. So sad. No manners, either.

Tell ya what - call (540) 965-7123 and ask for his 'opinion'. Apply your prodigious fact/opinion filtering skills. Then post back.

Good advice - so I'll stop arguing with you now

Bye

PS - BTW - Lee - I don't have any problems - mine were R&R'd very early ( less than 1,000 miles ) - no binding - no issues. Based upon previously posted expert advice - for both the early plug-poppin' 2V's and the plug-grabbin' 3V's LOL!

I have 25 years expierience as a ASE Certified mechanic, what do you have other than a school girl crush on your hero troyer you gush about and an inflated ego?. It is still his opinion and thats all. I dont need to call anyone. As for argueing with an idiot, I'm not arguing with anyone and I'll leave the pettiness to you. It's easy to call someone you dont know an idiot over the internet tuff guy.
You're on my ignore list as your posts are irrelevant posting count runups anyway

Sorry bro. The dealers caught onto that problem and have you sign a waiver stating if they break them, they're not responsible. Ford blames faulty tech skills, and dealers claim a poorly designed plug. You get caught holding the bag.

When the dealer changed my plugs I didn't sign a waiver.

Seems Autolite saw the problem with their original design. These "high performance" plugs appear to have the ground shield and threads as one piece.

The original design

I'd like to see them up close to be sure.
