Help with Backspace, Offset & Looking Cool!

I found some rims I like that I can also afford (CHEAP), but I’m not sure about the fitment and the visual stance. A lot of guys have rim/tire combos that stick out a little from the fenders. I like that. The rims I’m looking at are Eagle 137b. They have 17x8 with 4.95” backspace and +14mm offset and 17x10 with 4.625 bs and –21mm offset.

If my math is correct then the 17x8’s have a total 5.5” bs which will be almost like the 17x7.5 stockers. The stockers don’t stick out far enough for my liking. The 17x10’s total bs is about 3.8 and will stick out about 5” further than the stockers. Probably way too much.

I have decided on a 2.5” Daystar and a Skyjacker 1.5” AAL. If I don’t like the Daystar, it’s cheap enough to switch to an Autospring. A full lift will happen sometime down the road.

Any recommendations for tires/sizes for the above lift/wheel (17x8) setup that will look good and fill out the wheel wells? Or should I keep looking for different rims? The down on my new F150 left my pockets pretty light; and Christmas is coming. I'm on a budget.

I have been searching this board like crazy and I’m trying to limit my questions to those I haven’t found answers to.

Don't add/subtract the offset from the backspacing. The offset is relative to the centerline of the wheel while the backspacing is relative to the back edge of the wheel. Both are giving you measurements to the same spot on the rims, the mounting lug surface.
