yes, it is a bigger mass air flow sensor. it is because the factory one is smaller so when u use a larger tubed air intake it is choked at that point so this is a fix to that problem. unless u are supercharged i don't think it is worth it.

From seeing their product in other markets (LS1 cars).. I would not be the first one to try it out... I would wait to see if anyone actually sees any gains before purchasing one. They were a waste of money on LS1 cars.. This is a different maf for a completely different vehicle.. I would just wait until other people test it first..

I believe TP touched on this in the Chips forum. Basically unless you're S/C'd, it's not worth it at all and will cause a lean condition if you don't have the truck tuned for the larger MAF.

Our MAF sensor is mounted in the tube...it does not have a seperate housing like the one pictured or the ones on LS1s or even older Mustangs and Cobras. I cant see how you could even use this piece with the stock intake or a after market CAI (at least not my Airaide). True the MAF is where CAI choke down (so they can monitor all the air coming into the engine) but this is not a fix for that unless you plan to totally redesign the intake itself. Further more the first design Airaide tube was bigger around the MAF and it was "recalled" and a replacement sent because it caused lean conditions. Now that was using the stock MAF...so unless the sensor itself is bigger and not just the housing I would think this would do the same thing.
