Power Mirror wiring - paging ChrisAdams
ChrisAdams,
I'm a big fan. Your writeup for the power window install was right on.
I just installed basic power mirrors, like yours, on my STX. How did you wire up the power mirror switch? I like where you have your switch as well, near the top of the door trim panel opposite the actual mirror.
Thank you sir.

Hi, thanks for the kind words.
I put XLT mirrors in mine, used Molex four pin connectors on the mirrors themselves as I could not get a factory harness. I ran a power (hot all times) wire from under the dash, fused with a 7.5 amp fuse, and grounded the switch inside the door. That way I only had to run four wires into the driver’s door through the door boot. I ran the three wires from the passenger side under the dash in a plastic corrugated sleeve. Pulling off the glove box (2 screws) and taking off the kick panel on the driver’s side, four more screws made running the wire easy.
Any specific question?
Chris
