Just buy a can of black spray paint or 3M rubberized coating and go at it.

Wow I didnt know overspray would be from the factory. Oh well Ill try to get it off this weekend and cut my dang tailpipe off in the process. You guys think a good hacksaw would cut the pipe? I dont have alot of tools yet.

its not from the factory most likely, it probably had some paint work done, this does not mean that it had a major accident that would show up in a carfax. only claims put through insurance gets reported. the previous owner could have had a small dent or scratch fixed and paid cash. its not a problem most 80% of cars on the road have had some paint work, alot of them have something sprayed before they are even sold brand new from damage during shipping or something happening on the lot, i used to spray cars for a living and we did work for local dealers like that all the time. as long as it was sprayed with good quality paint it will last longer then the factory paint will.
