Throttle Body Problems... Advice?

Ok, heres the deal. Ive been having problems with my truck, at first i thought it was the transmission but I got the wrench light and checked my trouble codes through my edge... Turned out it is the p2106 code... which happens to be the "throttle actuator control system - forced limited power" I did a search for it on here and it seems to be pretty common. So how do i know if it is a sensor or the actual throttle body? Also, if it is the throttle body and I do have to replace it are there and performance throttle bodys that would give me any performance changes? Any help would be great...

I've gotten that code twice since i got my edge. Not really sure what has to be changed because i was just able to clear the code and haven't had any problems since. Hope you get it figured out.

I had the same problem with my 05. I also have the Edge and once this started happeninng I didn't know if it was the Edge or a problem with my truck. I removed my Edge and a short time later it happened again. My truck ended up being towed to the dealer for repair. The TPS sensor was the cuplrit. If I were you, I would remove the Edge and wait for the problem to repeat so it will be stored in your computer. Then take it to the dealer for the warranty repair. Good Luck!

When this happened to you guys did it have poor shifting from first to second? When mine does it, it will rev up in first, then shift to second, and lose all power. Then, sometimes it feels like it shudders or vibrates when it loses power from first to second. Does this sound about like you guys' problems?

I never really drove it much once it threw the code, i just reset it. But i do know that it would only rev to like 3k in the limited power mode.

I dont think that mine is in the Limited power mode... The wrench came on last night on the way home from work and then went off when i got home and it never came back on, that is the only time i have seen it. Also, it seems to do this worse when it is cold (internal temp & outside temp)
