How do you find out your gear ratio?

So yeah. What the thread title says.

Also, I have a 2004 F150 4.6L STX 4x4.

Veihicle Certification sticker in the driver's side door jamb has the code on it.

There is a code on the drivers door tag for axle. Some one will jump in and post what those codes mean or you can do a search on the subject. Or, you can jack up the vehicle and see how many times the drive shaft rotates to one time of the wheel.


there is probably a tag attached to your rear end housing that has it as well.

limited slip

H9 – 3:55
B6 – 3:73
