Did my Fabtech in about 16 hrs by myself with only a set of Impact sockets, Jack, jack stands, Impact wrench, sawz-all and some basic hand tools. I did get the dirt logic coil overs so I did not need spring compressors, but I have changed enough struts in my time that I know that it doesnt take a rocket scientist to do the front shocks.

Just bought the Fabtech lift from autoanything for $1566. 4wheelonline offered it at nearly same price. Shipping was free which was nice seeing as it showed up strapped to a pallet by FedEx Freight. Install here in the NW is being quoted at around $350-400.
350-400 is soo cheap. I am doing my kit myself because down here i am being quoted between 550 and 650 and thats ridiculous. Instead im doing it with a couple friends..took the money bought an edge, airaid jr, train horn, new xenon headlight bulbsand still had he money left to get my tires put on, balanced and aligned....seemed like a great deal for me, and i got to learn more about my truck, i really have installed everything myself, from the horn, to the AS kit, to the lights, to the airaid jr...it just helps you learn more about your vehicle...but if i could get it done cheap i would take it in and save myself the time....
I did the install myself (rize kit) and it's not to bad. Just make sure you get a good set of metric sockets all the way up to 30mm (i think that was the largest, its been a few months). It's helpful to have an extra set of hands at times but you can pull it off alone...
It depends on which Fabtech kit you go with. Spring compressors are not needed with coilovers and compressing the stock springs is a pain. You have to cut the rear crossmember iirc. It is just a mount you need to cut out so the new rear crossmember will fit, I used a cutting wheel and I went through about 4 discs but it worked out. There are some tricky parts, you may have to extend your solid steel brakelines, might have a bit of trouble installing the front tracbars (rear mounts were tricky to screw into the frame crossmember). You will see what I mean as you go on and if you need any help you can have my number. The front end is what takes the most time to install but it's not terribly difficult if you have a friend there to help. Set aside a weekend just in case.
The coilovers were difficult to pop into the lower control arm mounts, there was a bit of a trick to that. The rear was easy, I struggled the most getting parts off my truck. There was a ton of dirt I was unable to remove days before and it would fall into my mouth, eyes and ears. If your truck is clean you should have many less problems than I. Definitely try to tackle the lift you'll thank yourself in the end.

Well I ordered the lift today. I'm going to get it in look it over and make up my mind. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. I'm off work the week of Thanksgiving and do not have to go anywhere. That would give me 9 days to work on it. If I can not do it a week then I don't need a 4x4...
I also ordered a AAL. My plans are to leave the 2.5" spacer on and add the ALL in the rear. I want to run 37's do you guys think I can? I'm more of a poser then a mudder.

I brought my truck into get the lift installed and the price they quoted me was only if I bought the lift from them, at a mere 2100... not the high end shocks either, the basic kit... I have one other place that is telling me $450 - if they fall through I guess we'll be spending the weekend in the garage
