I know this... my PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) guy wouldn't touch the hood and it's 100+ dents after the hail storm that decimated the rest of my truck. All of the dents came out of the fenders and roof, both look like glass again.

If I do happen to get into another hail storm... my "cheap plastic" saturn hood will most likely survive quite nicely.

Huh, this gave me an idea! So I go outside with a magnet, and it stuck to the hood? Could be the hood brace tho. Either way, I did recive a small dint where some idiot shut the hood with there hands on the top. Actually, I think the after market hood is made of urethane the same thing as the Corvette body!

Just looking at this pic... I need some bigger tires now! Too bad the hail storm couldn't damage my wheels also. Mods on insurance money are good business.

Wow...that hood looks awesome. I'm glad everything worked out for you. That is my favorite aftermarket hood.

Now...just get that H-Bar Style Grille painted silver, and it would really set off your truck.

I was waiting form them to start producing the FX4 Luxury package for this Model Year. It has a matching H-Bar grille. There is a picture of it in the new F150 buyers guide. Supposed to be late availability...

That looks great!! I'm glad they were able to work with you and get that perfect fit. I do have a couple of questions though.
Does the hood expand and contract with temperature change? If so, does it still line up all the time?
What kind of change have you noticed with the ram air intake?

I've only had it on a couple of days and so far it has been 30 - 40 degrees out. I haven't noticed any expanding and contracting so far... but I will keep an eye on it.

My Magnaflow sounds a little beefier on acceleration.. don't know if that is my imagination or what. Haven't noticed any kind of performance increase... it says that you would only notice over 60 mph anyway.

OK...I see what you mean now. Was out for a long drive today... the passenger side front raised up a little. After sitting in the garage for awhile it is back down to where it was. Wild stuff!

So I guess the answer is no. It doesn't line up perfectly all the time. Still only a minor drawback that most people will never notice.

Right, what happens is the underside gets hot and expands and the top remains colder due to outside temperature causing the corners to push up a little. My problem is that since it got cold here my corners are always opinting up a little. It only lines up if the sun is beating down on it. Oh well, like you said just a minor drawback. Enjoy the new hood.

Damn JB that looks nice. So what was your total for the hood and install? I will be putting about $4000 into my truck in the spring and other than new wheels & tires I am still trying to decide what else I am going to be doing. Funny thing is is my wife really likes the look of the hood and wants that to be #2 right after the wheels & tires. Just don't want to spend it all on 2 mods. Thanks and again it looks great.

Check the site for pricing... ramairhood.com. Depends on if you just get the hood, if it is painted (which I don't recommend) and if you get the airbox. They used to have a non-functional hood that was cheaper but it has been deleted from their pricing. Basically it's $800 if you just want an unpainted hood.

For me, it was a no brainer because of the hail storm. A new OEM hood was $650.

Thanks. I took a look at the site and their prices. What I would like to know is what was your grand total with the hood and having the body shop paint to match your truck and install, if you don't mind sharing the info.
