Air vent remove?
Air vent remove?
I have a sticky blob on the air vent to the right of the radio.I need to take it out to clean it.How do I get it out with out any thing getting tore up?

I got it out but its not a sticky blob its a warp in the plastic.I looked on ebay and could not find any vents.Any one know where I can find 1?Or a set of the chrome ones?

Inside the vents take a flashlight and you will see two small clips towards the back that need to be pulled outward. They are just tension clips molded into the plastic, so you actually won't remove them, just release the tension. I didn't just want to yank mine either, so I took 2 pieces of loose wire we had around the garage and made hooks, at the end of them. I slid the two pieces of wire in the vent, hooked on to the clips, and pulled them outward (you see when you look at the clips) to release the clip and safely remove the vents.
This is not as complicated as it may look, just take your time ,and think through what your doing.

I need a new one.The plastic is warped and the paint or what ever colors it black is peeling off.I looked on ebay none listed.Any one know where I can get either a new to me black/grey one or a set of the chrome ones?
