caps are a great buffer for the system, especially with an amp, but again they still need to be charged up, and still causes more overall parasitic loss. A second battery wired in series would do more then a cap will, b.c it would actually hold a charge when vechile is off. But still neither are cure all solutions. Just a bandaid on a bullet wound.
