level front or back?
level front or back?
well, i knew it wouldnt last long...starting to think about mods for the truck already. Not sure which route I want to go though...i know I want wheels first and the truck to be level
2 choices...one being OEM 20's with 2"AS and AAL in the back with 33 inch BFG KO's. Or, the second being, HD 22" rims, with a 2" leveling kit for the back...
2 totally different looks, street or offroad...which IMO, will both look good. now my truck is 2WD, however I do go offroad...not mudding or anything, but i travel down some dirt/rock/shell/sand roads alot back and forth to work...and when it rains, it gets muddy! I need traction also. So basically what im saying is...give me some input! Help me out...which way should I go? Are there any good street tires for the HD 22's that will offer good traction? Dont get the wrong idea...the factory tires are just fine for handling this terrain...just wondering is street tires like toyo proxies would be worse.

Either will look good. It's just up to what you want. If you are happy with the performance of your OEM tires, any quality aftermarket tire will be an improvement. So I think it basically just boils down to which look you prefer.
No way man, lower it and you will not be dissapointed. Especially with some sweet 22" harleys.

+1 for dropping the rear. I just put on the belltech 2" shackle on my FX2 and it looks a ton better especially with the side steps gone. Next up is some Belltech 2" spindles when they are finally released and a flip kit. Good choice on the HD 22's

edit: another point i want to add is i do not want the truck to sag in the back...does yours, even the slightest bit? Also...how will this void the warrenty? I have 98,500 miles to go till its up so i dont want to mess that up too much

Here is a couple pics. This is with a Belltech 2" shackle and the factory 1" block removed. When the truck is level it measures exactly the same front and rear from the ground to the middle of the wheel well. I think it was like 36 1/4". As for warranty I would not worry about it because the only thing I can think of that it would void is a rear suspension failure which is impossible and maybe a drivetrain vibration which I have none. I will still be going 2" lower though.

I have a '04 XLT 4x4 and had the stock rear lift blocks removed and I love the look and stance of it. That was the only option for me to get my 5th wheel trailer to ride level. Even with the weight of the trailer, I only sit 1/2 inch lower in the rear. It's also a less expensive route to take.
