Will this subwoofer fit?

Will this subwoofer fit under the back seat of a CuperCab? Check it out and tell me what you think.

Thanks for the help in advance!

no, well yes but not with out moding the seat and a custom box, your better off making a box to replace your center console

this is just temporary till i finish my fiberglass console

Wow, crazy!

Also, will I need 2 amplifiers for my system?

I have a JVC head unit, 4 Alpine Typr R door speakers with an Alpine 4 channel amp, and I just ordered a Crutchfield box for a 10" sub.

Should I take the Alpine 4 channel amp back and get one that will power both the door speakers and the sub or get a separate one for the sub?

I know little of this stuff.

Gotcha.

I'd also like to add that even though I have the same speakers in front and back, the rear speakers sound like crap no matter how I try to adjust them.

Some one with better knowledge of stereos can correct me if i am wrong. (good chanche they will know something i dont). No do not take the amp back. I believe u need two amps. the one u have powering the doors and the one mono amp that is going to power the sub properly.

The only way it will fit under the rear sit is a foward firing box and a seat lift. Even then it might not fit depending on the overall diameter after mounted. You will not be able to get that sub to fit down firing (or any other way for that matter) even with a seat lift.

I would also get a seperate amp to power the sub(s). If you wanted to take it back and get a 5 channel amp you could do that...but seperate amps would be the better choice.

Pioneer makes an awesome shallow mount sub that only needs about 3"-4" and would fit nicely under the rear seat.

10 inch

12 inch

If you want to go that route..wait for the TC-SMT Driver to be released:

Well heres the thing, I bought one of these:

>>> LINK: Q-Customs Factory-fit Subwoofer Enclosure <<<

It says "...for proper fit and response, the subwoofer of your choice should conform to the following specs...
-Cutout Diameter Limitation: 9.184 inches
-Maximum Depth: 5.8125 inches"

I wanted to put this in it -> ALPINE Type R Sub, but it's a little over 6" deep and I don't think it'll fit.

So what kind of subwoofer would you guys put in it?

I just bought one of these...

JL audio stealthbox...bumps really good...comes with the subwoofer already installed, and it bolts to your seat so it would take a thief a while to get it out. I love mine.
