Factory fog light wiring

I just installed the factory headlight switch with fog lights in my truck that originally did not have the fog lights. Now the fog light circuit is there all the way to the fuse box with the relay and fuse already installed. The relay switches when the fog light switch is activated.

My question is does anybody know if there is the wiring after the fuse box? is there a wire that passes through the firewall that I can tap into to energize my fog lamp circuit? Does anybody know if there is a wiring diagram that I can get of the wiring harness after the fuse box? Thanks for your help in advance.

It should be a straight shot from the fuse to the relay to the lamps.

First off make sure your getting greater than 10v into the fog light fuse.

Then check for greater than 10v coming to where pin 3 is (that's power from the fuse). That voltage shoots across the relay (when it's energized) and exits pin 5 through the harness and through the firewall to the lamps.

Test pin 5 for less than 5 ohms resistance if it's greater the lamps are not grounded properly.

Pin 1 comes from the switch. When turned on you should read greater than 10v.

Hope that helps.

thanks this will get me in the right direction in case I have to tap into the relay socket to turn on my lights.
