I recently watched that Ford video about how they make the F150 and why it's better than the competition.

Not counting the video, Is there anything else that you can share than can describe how the've improved?

The '04 and up F150's are tanks, their strength comes from the new crazy stiff frame.:rocker:

I agree. It's kind of reassuring to see something like this, especially after seeing the same types of videos when I had my '98 Super Cab and wondering if the truck would handle an accident. It's good to see the new SCabs are holding up better since that's what they always seem to use when comparing all the trucks for safety ratings.

I was tempted to get a good used 2003, but seeing the redesigned frame, I decided to get the '05 instead. This was back when I worked for the frame supplier that builds the frame for the Titan/Armada, QX56, so I did learn a little something about frames when working there. We crashed a few frames by accident on occasion, so I developed a little understand of what does what and why.

I was hit by a suburban and he knocked me into the pole. the pole hit just outside the frame rail. I did crush my left foot but I was able to get out and take one step.
