Retractable Running Boards...anyone have them?
Retractable Running Boards...anyone have them?
Looking to add running boards or steps to my '05 F150 4x4 Lariat SC...does anyone have these babies?

From...http://www.electricstep.com/eshop/pc...p?idCategory=3
These retractable running boards seem like a good "disappearing" option...as many nerf bars and running boards are low and stick out too much for my likes.
Yeah...they are $$$$:santa:
...but do they work?...are there any problems?...issues?...other attractive alternatives?

I don't have them, but have seen them on other trucks/SUVs. Very nice. They seem to be very sturdy. The only reason I don't have them is their price and I like the protection of the non-retractable steps from door dings.
I have been wanting a set of those forever, but damn they are expensive. I saw them on a truck at the Pismo Beach meet and you couldnt even see them until the door was opened. He didnt have any problems with them.

OK, here is my rationale-
1. The truck has "all the options"...including butt warmers and it asking me to "pimp it a little".:santa:
2. Because they are $$$...are way too cool...and besides, "I can".
3. Short legged cuties.
4. Functional when needed and do not extend downward or to the sides when not needed.
Thanks for the input so far...other than $$$, nothing negative.

I know what you mean about short legged cuties. This one cutie that I see complained when I went from my OEM (crappy) steps to the Westin Sport Tubes because she has a hard time climbing in my truck with a skirt or some snug jeans--and my truck is a leveled 2wd. She would never be able to get into Thumps truck.
