well....I swore up and down I would never ever drive a F-150. I changed job's and I'm no longer self employed. Company truck is a plain jane white 05 xl 4x4 4.6 reg cab long box that has been beat up a bit by the guy I'm replacing....

I'm setting up mobile homes, atco trailers, and houses that are moving on to new foundations.

Mileage on the 4.6 and performance is not good, esp when used as a poliet truck and hauling timbers, chains ect, but it's free and mine for the duration of my employment.

45,000 km on the truck now..

Funny thing is the Xl has more room on the door arm rest's than my 04 reg cab 4x4 xlt with the 5.4, one of my issues on the 04 F-150 I had is my left knee aways hit the arm rest's on the door ( power windows )

Why would you swear not to drive one, if you own one??

Sorry, I used to own a 04 F-150, reg cab 5.4 long box 4x4 and a 02 F-150, sc 4x4 sb with a 5.4 ( 260 Hp) my luck with booth of them was not good. I jumped to dodge and to some extent buged a lot of the loyal F-150 following.

The arm rest's on the XL reg cab, take up less space than on the XLt reg cab, more room is needed for the power windows on the XLT..

I went out on a limb and stated I would never ever have any thing to do with Ford, well, a much better paying job with a company truck came along.

People who post threads like these on a 'FORD' forum are just asking for chit. . whats the point? . . kind of immature if you ask me.

PS: Since no one informed you, we couldn't care less.

I had steak for dinner tonight. It's the first time I've had a decent steak in about a year.

I just thought I'd contribute something worthwhile to this thread.
