Its a piece of cake, if I remember correctly there is 2 small square drive screws (rather long) on the headlight assembly, one for vertical and the other horizontal, might be a good time to change to some silverstars while you are in there!

its a 4mm hex stud to adjust it you will most likely have to pull the headlight out some as its a pretty tight spot- im almost positive that there is only vertical adjustment on the f150s the horizontal should be fixed and non-adjustable...

You are right, only vertical adjustment on the 04 up.

You don't have to remove the headlight to adjust it. It is designed to be aimed with it bolted in place, that's the way all headlights are designed, so they are aimed properly with it in the mounted position. You need a headlight aimer or follow the directions in the owners manual for aiming on a garage door.

100% correct- but if you dont have the tool- when i tried using pliars in place, it was looking to strip the hex, so to get the 4mm socket& wrench in I had to slide the headlight assy. out about a half inch- just sharing my experience

I put the 4mm socket on the adjustment screw, and then used pliers to turn it.
