Custom Wood and Leather Steering Wheel and Interior Parts Write-Up & Review
Hey Guys,
So as you all know I have been looking a long time for a wood and leather steering wheel which is an OEM match in the leather and wood to my 2005 F150 Lariat with tan leather. I also was looking for some wood interior parts to match the OEM parts.
While I found what I was looking for and I found it at Phoenix Imaging.
History:
I spoke with Roby at Phoenix Imaging and was able to find exactly what I needed.
I purchased a wood and leather steering wheel and window controls for my SuperCrew. Robyn was extremely helpful and sent a small piece of the wood in the mail just to ensure that everything would be a perfect match.
Phoenix Imaging does professional interiors and hydrographics for SEMA vehicles and has been featured in several magazines.
Placing the Order:
Once entering my order it took roughly six weeks to receive the parts from Phoenix Imaging. I attribute this long wait time to the parts only being made when an order is placed and they were moving to a new facility. As you’ll see in my pictures below, it was well worth the wait!
Installation:
Installation was a cinch with directions on how to remove the steering wheel from Quintin. His directions with pictures were flawless and without them I would of had to pay $150 to have the steering wheel installed.
Here is the link to the steering wheel installation instructions with step-by-step pictures
Quality Assessment:
The steering wheel and interior parts came well packaged and safe from our local kick ball champion package delivery guys. The wood interior parts were flawless without scratches or stains on the wood. The window control pieces are molded and have the same dimensions and “sturdiness” of the stock parts they directly replace. The leather on the steering wheel is very plush and feels great in your hands. The wood area on the steering wheel also has “finger” impressions or bumps on the back of the steering wheel for the comfort of your hand while holding the wheel. This wood and leather steering wheel is identical to those found in high end luxury vehicles.
Post-Use Quality Assessment:
The steering wheel and interior parts have been installed for roughly a month. I wanted to have the parts in the truck to see how they would hold up before I reviewed the work of a company on our forum. The parts are in as great a shape now as they were the day I unpackaged them. The leather on the steering wheel is still in great shape with no signs of wear. The window controls have with stood rain (now snow), dropping my keys on them, and blows by watch when reaching for the window buttons. While I still think they’d scratch with effort (as would the OEM items), they have with stood normal day-to-day blows. The color, shade, and lines on the wood pieces are still an exact match with no variance from OEM.
Without further ado, here are the pictures!

Thanks for the compliments fellas!
Please read my first post entirely. Not to sound like a jerk, but I spent a ton of time typing that up and I don't want to type it twice.
