cracked windshield

I got up yesterday morning with a little frost on the windshield. I turned on the defroster and a crack developed starting from the bottom center of the windshield up about to the top of where the wipers are and across to the passenger side. I looked at the windshield crack real closely and could not find where a stone may have hit it. It was a clean line all the way with no chip.
Does anyone think that it might be a factory defect? The truck only has 1200 miles on it. Does warranty cover defective glass?

It may, Take it back to the dealer and ask them to inspect the crack for a stress break, they will either show you where a rock hit it (if its a rock, ask them to show you the point of impact...... or if its stress related, warrenty may cover it..

Take it back, mine did the same thing, for no reason one day it cracked after i washed the truck. I took it back to the dealer and they said that there has been a problem with the glass for the '04-06 trucks. Mine was replaced under warranty.
