Did anyone see the F150 buildup (supercharger, banks exhaust, etc) on 'Trucks' today?

05RoushMarkLT, have you gone to the track lately? I am very curious to see what kind of numbers you produce at the track with your setup.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm tuning into Spike for the Trucks! episode in 15 minutes, just out of curiosity.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to a track while I was in Las Vegas, and now that I'm back in Alaska, there is little chance it will happen. We used to have some local drags in town, but they shut them down. There might be some down in Wasilla or Anchorage next summer, which I plan to try and make it to. I wanted to wait until I re-geared before I hit the track. I'm hoping to be in the mid-high 13's with the truck. I wish I was running a regular cab 2wd with this set up, there's a chance I could knock on the 12 second window with that set up.

Mid-high 13's estimate is pretty darn good for a truck as heavy as yours. I plan to supercharge my truck also later on this year and whipple is on top of my list.

. . and?

Fords have horrible drivetrain loss. A 30% drivetrain loss would equal 210 rwhp. Heavy wheels and tires don't give you power either.

Nihilism, the guy at Ford Racing has a comparable set up as mine and ran a 14 flat. Once I regear to 4.56 from 3.73, I should be able to gain half a second or so, which will put me in that range. He had the same set up, 4X4 supercrew, same mods, etc. I wish I had my own numbers though.

moose, my truck had a baseline of somewhere in the 205-210 range with the Roush exhaust and 22" tires and rims. Welcome to the truth about our trucks, they are slugs stock, but the potential is there.

If I had to do it over again, I would've probably bought a 4X2 lariat screw instead of a FX4 screw. Mainly because I don't go off-roading that much (one or twice a month), the less weight between the 4X2 and FX4 versions and because I'm going to end up lowering my FX4 in the near future.

I bet you will drop almost one second with 4.56 gears if you can take care of traction.
BTW, i sent you the info of the Carbon Fiber driveshaft, did you order yours ?

I think the powerworks truck was on juice. just kidding. I'm baffled as to why Banks took the powerworks supercharger, weakend it to 5.5psi and offer it for a bargain price of 2-3 grand more. I think you need to teach these guys a little marketing strategy that you learned in school drew.

It was a stretch for me to get the gears, so the driveshaft will have to wait right now. I should of done the gears in Vegas since it was about $1200 down there. In Alaska, the best price I could find is through my Ford dealership and it's $2400. Ouch. I plan to get some drag radials and better brakes next, and then I'll look into the driveline. Thanks for sending me that e-mail with the contact info, I've got it filed away.

I definately saw a big difference when I went with my headers. Now mine are LT, so I can't say if the shorties would make much of a difference. I didn't have it dynoed after the install, but I sure saw a definate pickup in mid-range. I'm going back to the dyno Tuesday, but the numbers will be misleading since I'm tuning my truck for a smaller pulley.
