Lol Bigg_Ray, I have the same problem here. Been looking for a reg. cab. short box 2wd 5.4 for close to a year now, and haven't found a darn thing. Was mainly looking for a 99-03, but just recently starting looking at 04+ models to open my search up a little more...found a couple but they are 4x4's, might just have to settle for that though...very rare indeed.

I love my regular cab!

I weighed mine a long time ago.. and *best* I recall, it was about 5200 lbs with me in it.
Not 100% on that... but its close to 5000 (truck alone)

Then again, when I had the pontoon boat, I didn't really see a point in having the guests in one vehicle while I pulled the boat, so that thought did influence my decision to buy the Supercrew. I tell you what though, I know it was a lot more comfortable for my sister, her fiance, and me to travel to and from Norfork Arkansas (about 7-8 hours from Jackson, MS) in my Supercrew instead of my sister's Taurus since my sister is shortest at 5'9" and her fiance is tallest at 6'2" or something like that. No matter who sits in the front of the Taurus, the person in the back wasn't going to have leg room.
space behind the seat with the 2 little doors will hold all the groceries you can eat in a month or several suit cases. I put a cargo organizer in mine to hold loose items in place and couldn't be happier. Fortunately I wanted and needed a 4X4 in the mountains but the 5.4 was still hard to find and when I found it, it had a twin brother in black next to it. The dealer didn't order any more because he had trouble selling the ones he had. 4.6 regular cab are easy to find if you want a plain jane but XLT or better ones are very rare.
