Edge and the 2007's ?

Has anyone tried their edge they were using in a previous year in an 07 model yet ? Does it work ? I phoned Edge and they are unable to give me any info on the 07 models. When I asked if they were compatible with the 07 I got We dont know, when I asked when they would know I got We dont know. I am looking at buying an edge BUT am also changing my truck to a 2007 in a month.

Also if I did buy it now and if and when the 07 could be talked to is it just a matter of updating my unit with new files or buying a new one you think ?

Thanks

The reason EDGE does not know is because they don't have any idea how the PCM is programmed. If the hex code from the 06 is the same, then you may be able to use the EDGE.

You really would not know untill you pluged it in and tried it.

I'm sure it will take awhile for EDGE to get caught up with the new programming if changes have been made.

I wouldn't spend the money on the EDGE until you get something saying the programming is good for the 07. That way you won't be disappointed if it does not work and you have to wait a couple of months.

good luck with the 07.

I had problems with my edge in mid of '06 on a truck built in late '05.
Edge folks have to get the output files from the tune to work their magic. I was seriously pissed off that it took me 3 weeks to get my edge working. However I forgot all about that once i got the tune to go.
Plug in your Edge and when/if it fails call Edge and send em thoe files...they need that info ****.

I have an 06 F-150 Roush with the edge. It works great and could not live without it. My father just purchased an 07 screw and we tried my programmer in his truck. It did not work. The programmer said it was an invalid calibration code. We are now patiently waiting for an update so he can get an edge of his own.
