codes and edge

I was just wondering that if you get reflashed do you need your new code for the edge to work or does it read and store the stock program for later use?
Thanks.

I was told by someone at edge that if the pcm update is newer then what the edge recognizes, it won't let you program, but it will record the new pcm code (and I believe you will get a message telling you so). You will then have to send the device to edge so they can update it.

If it works after the pcm update, then the reflash is already recognized and you're good to go.

Just make sure you restore you stock program before you have it reflashed or the edge wont work and it will cost you to fix it.
