hi i searched for help on this topic but mine seems a tad different. i pluged mine in for the first time today and tuned it directly to level 2 and the little wrench poped up and it went into limp mode. i cleared the code which was like a throttle sensor or summin and it came back up. i tuned it back to stock mode and no problems. so im wondering is it cause i have to move to level one then level 2 or is it just the same problem everyone else had and i have to call edge? any help is apreciated

I initially had a problem getting my edge program to understand my stock tune. I had to call Edge and wait 3 weeks for them to release a new tune that was compliant for my program. My problem wasn’t like your problem because the Edge simply wouldn’t take over from my stock tune.
Your best bet is to call them up and work through the problem. I would advise you to have your dump files from the tuner ready to send on your computer because they will want those to diag the prob.
I had to wait 3 weeks for a proper fix and that sure as **** pissed me off, however I forgot about that as soon as I hit the gas on level3.
Edge owns....it makes the truck....and keeps the same gas mileage... Ford has it's head up it's performance ***.

Just got edge yesterday (monday) and right away put on level 3 on my 06 fx4, wow what a great boost in performance.

And its just a cool thing to look at with the pod!

 

Right now I have RPM, MPH, engine load % and ampg.
What is everyone else showing?

On my Edge I only have 3 things showing. Trans Temp, Oil Temp, And Engine Temp. That's the second reason why I love my edge. Because of the gauges. The first reason is when you stomp on the gas

Lvl 3 is great on the Edge, I will never go back to lvl 2.

 

I am running level 3. Have had various things on the gauges. Righ now I am monitoring air temp, engine temp, oil temp and mph.

 

Did you try updating the edge over the internet? Make sure you have the newest files, may fix your problem.

yea i updated before i hooked it up. well its weird i decided to try again today and it went into level 2 without a hitch no codes

 

I have 2 with bar graph, I changed mine today to show Load on top and Tranny on bottom.

I installed mine on/in the console where the cigar lighter is.



In Kalifornia...Edge is illegal.

 

What?? Why?? I just put mine up.

If your driving your truck and you happen to pull the edge out, does that do any harm?

 

If you pull it out while running as long as it's not in the programming stage you should be fine.

As for why it's illegal in CA, thank CARB and their firmly held belief you should not be able to play with the air/fuel ratio at all, ever, period. This can potentially change the emisions characteristics of your truck, therefore they ban it.

Of course, they did pass legislation years back adding MTBE that corroded out engines, decreased mileage, did nothing to improve air quality like they said it would and was linked to causing cancer, but hey, they know all right?

 

well maybe I should have read a little closer... thats retarded.
Plus now I have the freaking pod sitting on my dash.
