My opinion after my slight lift and larger tires

I recently put 305/65/18 BFG AT tires on with a 2.5" spacer. The truck seems to ride a little rougher. NOt that big of a deal the tire preasure is set to 40psi. The big difference is in my steering it's very weird. I feel every bump in the wheel. It goes left to right alot. My tires are not large enough to use a steering stabilizer. I wish I would have went with a 285. The tires look great! It's just more off road then I wanted. For instance I can not reach over the side of the bed easily.

1. So any suggestions on ride comfort? I was thinking of going down to say 35psi.

2. My biggest problem steering. My swaybar end link is broke on the passenger side. I wonder if that will take some of the wiggling out of my wheel.

I usually run 35 psi in my nittos and it rides just like stock, IMO.

Having a broken swaybar link will affect the handling alot on some vehicles, so that could be it. Mine tracks perfect even with the larger tires.

Lets see some pictures!!!

cpu77 - question

So you don't like the 305's? You say it's too 4x4...why's that? Also could you post some pics of how far the tire comes out, etc. All help would be appreciated b/c I've been wanting to put these on my 06 KR Screw 4x4.

take out the spacer. u have no more room for your suspension to extend with the 2.5 inch spacer in there. i recomend a smaller spacer 2.5 " is too much. and fix your sawy bar link.

as far as not reaching over the bed, u made it bigger what did u think was going to happen? sounds like u are the type of guy that should just leave the truck stock.

Well I got the alignment done. Nothing is any better. I have my tire preassure at 35psi. I am going to swap my stock tires on front and see how it drives. Maybe I have a out of round tire.

I might go with the 2" Spacer. I will see how my experiment goes.

If the Anti-sway bar end is broken as you stated... Why haven't you fixed that first? I over torqued mine during Suspension install and replaced it from Autozone for around 12.00 dollars. The anti-sway bar does have a purpose. When mine was broken I could sure tell it in the steering wheel not to mention the clunking noise when traversing bumps and concrete roads.

Fix the broken parts FIRST. Then if problem still exsist proceed acordingly.

Just my .02 cents worth BoB
