275/70-17, will they fit?

I have searched but didn't find any threads talking about this tire size. I was wanting to know if I can put 275/70-17 tires on my 2wd supercrew and factory wheels without them rubbing. I do not have a leveling kit. Would I need one?

That tire is 32.16 inches tall and will fit without any issues and without a leveling kit.

Tirerack.com's specs on the BFG MT/R says that it is 32.4" would that be a problem?

No its not going to be a problem. The ACTUAL height will differ a little depending on the wheel its mounted on and the inflation pressure.

Just so you know here is the formula you can use to determine the tire size:

Take the first number and divide it by 25.4, this converts mm into inches:
275/25.4=10.8267

Then take that number and multiply it by the second number in %:

10.8267x.70=7.578

This is your sidewall height. Since you have basically 2 sidewalls, multiply that by 2:

7.578x2=15.157

Then you take that number and add back your rim diameter:

15.157+17=32.157 or 32.16 inches tall.
