ATF is also used in the tcase. Leaking seals are common in the F-150, but if it's dripping then you definitely want to change them. Who has an alldata.com account here and what do you think of it. I would like a tcase teardown diagram and rebuild walkthrough if possible. Maybe some diagnosing suggestions (tcase slippage).

I got a alldata.com account. I looked it up and it don't appear that hard to replace the seal. Course that depends on what seal it is. There's the transfer case to transmission seal and the silicone bead seal around the transfer case itself.

I would recommend to everyone to get a alldata.com or simular account. I've had my account for 2 years now and it's come in very handy.

Thump,
If it were the t-case to tranny seal leaking, I would expect more fluid. If it becomes wet after drive, then it's more than likely the shaft seal. Not uncommon with extra weight in the drivetrain which adds a little more stress to the bearing/seals. With the result of the truck, well worth the hassle.

Well after driving for about 2 hours. I got out and looked and there was a couple of drips. I'll take a picture later and show you where the drips are but Im starting to think its the driveshaft seal. Im just wondering if I should really be worried about it. .

Thanks to the people who actually gave me some advice.

well thump i think its all starting to add up now. sounds to me like your vibration u are having has something to do with your driveshaft and it is now efecting the rear bearing and seal. better take it in to get it looked at.

Yup thats what I was thinking. But, heres one of the wierd things, it doesn't always do it.

I've got to take it back to Black Sky to have everything tightened up and re-balanced. So we'll see what they have to say.
