Stout Grille Guard
Stout Grille Guard
I know you guys/gals have been round and round about Grille Guards but here's a question I haven't seen.
I'm looking for one that has supports below (attachment at the tow hooks) AND supports above (around the grille area).
Has anyone seen a grille guard with this type of setup?
I've been looking at every one I can find on the road as well as websites/magazines. Can't find anything....any ideas?
Thanks for your help.....

i know im looking for something i can off road with and hit trees and what not with if needed or on accident. something sturdy but yet looks good, i love the front end of our trucks so im not looking to cover it all up.
my ranchhand brushguard has what you are speaking of. i can get some better pics later.it has two big brackets that mount at the tow hooks and two more at the bottom grill. i cut out the center grading on mine to show my grill.

the top brackets are at the same place as the foglights.

I got the T&H from autoanything.com and i had to remove my tow hooks to install the mounting brackets. Then there's another set of brackets that attach to the bumper that route behind the grill. You have to open the hood to install those. T&h also makes a optional skid plate/guard for protecting below the frame mount area. I'm not exactly sure if that's what your asking. If you want photos I'll post them tomorrow.
Here's the link to T&H http://www.thoffroad.com/ford/f-150/index.html

my WAAG has uppder braces where you open the hood-they arent as beefy as the primary connections under the tow hooks, but its still two good pieces of steel... will edit the post later when i can go take a look at them- J
