new truck or buy an esp?

I have an 04 screw lariat and have done no mods. I did not get any special financing on a 48 mo note and I am now out of warranty at 38k. Should I:

A. Pursue an ESP

B. Buy a new truck

I am happy with the truck and don't know if there are any appreciable improvements since the 04. I would pretty much buy the exact same thing if I went with B.

This is a dollars question...

Money standpoint? Hands down keep the truck you have. More than likely nothing is going to go majorly wrong before it's paid off, what another 10-12 months? Then after she's yours, you can save up some of those payments you would make on the new 07 you didn't buy now for repairs as necessary. It wouldn't hurt anything but your pocketbook to get the ESP, but I don't think it would be necessary.

Oops - I should have pointed out that the whole reason I even posted this is that nothing has ever gone wrong with the truck BUT the A/C has now gone out TWICE since the warranty ran out (front seal on compressor and a month later leaky condensor)

When I was having all sorts of problems with my truck, I was pondering the same question that you currently are.
Ford service fixed everything (front discs, rebuilt diff., replaced throttle body, new tail light lens, buytl pad) and I have not had any problems since.
I did notice the "wetness" around the axle seals, but Im not sure if that is anything to worry about.
Anyway based on that, I decided to keep my truck and am looking forward to the thing getting paid off. It will be nice to have an additional 400.00 per month.
