Nice. I'd dump more REP on you if I could... I must 'spread it around' before I can though.

Thanks for your work on this topic buddy. Your knowledge on this subject is most appreciated!!!!

Haha, no worries on the rep points, I didn't even know we had them till last week. Much less, I don't even know how to check them.

If anyone ever has questions or needs help, you know where to find me. I figure I owe it to the boards after all that everyone has given me.

Quintin,

I know I owe you the pictures of the custome interior too. I just detailed the inside and will take those pictures today and post them tomorrow or Saturday. I've been playing catch-up with the mod pictures and write-ups.

It's constantly a work in progress. AF1 and XCal2 go on next month!

And yes I LOVE driving at night. They say the US military owns the night in wars, well I own the night on the streets.

Well everyone kept asking for output pictures and talking about it, so I came through in intense picture taking fashion. They were a HUGE pain to upload and post though as it took forever.

Glad you like it, thanks for the compliment!

While you won't get close to the output from the Saleen HID setup like I have with these LS430 projectors, it'll definitely be an improvement over stock.

It's darn near impossible for reflector HID to beat the work of a projector, especially one that is engineered to leak light out of the bottom to create a ultra wide beam pattern.

However, I think reflector HID looks the best when a vehicle is coming at you, unless you like the glimpse of blue look when the pass below your cuttoff with projectors.

Either way, if it's not halogen it'll be a TON better then stock. (Getting tired...that's what I was trying to say all along.)

Night!

Possibly, it'd take some time though because I'd have to contract out the work of turing the LS430 projector into a bi-xeon projector. I can't do that as I don't have precise enough machines. The guy who can is a brilliant craftsman but costs a fortune. I believe he charged $350 to turn them into bi-xeon if I remember right as it's a lot of work.

If you're interested let me know and I can contact him and see if he's up for doing another set.

I'm interested... but, I do have a budget -- somewhere around what we're predicting the Saleen heads might go for... Probably won't work will it?

Nope, done cheaply it could be done for around $1,000. It all depends on how cheap you can find a set of LS430 projectors. They are directional so you need a right and a left.

Also, how cheap you could find an aftermarket set of headlamps to use in the contruction.

Search ebay for the following and then add $350 to pay the guy to do a bi-xeon modification to the projectors:

Ballasts
D2S bulbs
LS430 projectors (pair) with stock chrome shrouds
Aftermarket donor headlamps

I'm guessing that would be around $1,000 total.
