Alternator FYI

2004 - 2006 F150 had the 130amp alternator.

All early 2007s will have a 110amp alternator.

Later built 2007 FX4 and Lariats will have the 150amp alternator. And here is the part number in case you may be intrested...

7L7Z-10346-B (150 amp) retail is 323.13 with a core of 75.00

While this is up, are there any aftermarket alternators out there for our trucks? or are they all universal? Either way, whats a good site to find some AM ones?

So what are the benefits between a 130 amp alt to a 150 amp alt?

Well that was a bit obvious....So basically it's just that you can power more things? Can't see a point to this unless you have a ton of plug in deals like Myst.
