I cant remember if I have posted this on this site or not, but reguardless I didn't get a very good answer from when I posted it the last time so here it goes.

What do you all think about ram air hoods and intakes. Are they better than CAI's and if so which is a good brand.

Here are several:

I am real happy with the hood I bought, it is the G-force power hood from ramairhood.com and it is a functional hood. I am 99% sure it is the same hood Tuscany uses for their FTX. Now, it is made of OEM plastic so it flexes a little with temperature change but it always looks great. However, they only make an intake for the 5.4.

That is the one I was going to go with if I bought one. I just want to hear what others have to say. Expecially concerning ram air hoods vrs cold air intakes.

Gotta admit those are some sharp looking hoods. Think the wife will freak if I order one?

Did anyone notice any performance boost over a standard CIA?

I have the Ram Air Hood. The Ram Air Hood will hold up better because it is not made out of fiberglass which will crack and distort overtime. It's also available pre-painted.

That question was the whole point of the thread. Guys, thank you for the input, but I was wanting performance results over CAI's. Sorry for posting so late but I work 24 hour shifts on the ambulance and I don't have access to the internet. I would like to here about the performance values. Thanks guys.

Hi.

For a TRUE pressurized ram air setup, not worth it, risky & tuning will be expensive to correct for it.

Try using advance search for ram+air+intakes - you may not like what you find.... but those are the facts...
