Is this the part # for the 07 MP3 aux audio input jack?

Two Ford parts department that I’ve talked to are clueless to the part number for the MP3 auxiliary audio input jack. They tell me they can’t find the part # for it in their system just quite yet. The only thing part # that they could give me was this:

5L3Z-15042A82-AAA

I’m pretty sure it’s not the correct part number because the part only lists for $45 and it’s just called the “top panel instrument.” But that’s the best they could do as far as searching for the part #. Anyone have any luck yet finding the correct part # for the MP3 aux audio input jack jack?

TTT, anyone try this. The price online shows $33. Can I swap my tray for this and plug it into the back of my 2006's stereo like the P.I.E. adaptor?

don't buy the part from Ford. There are better options. The Ford is just a FM Modulator last i checked. Spend the $150 and buy a PIE Adapter.

The factory Ford input is NOT an fm modulator. It is a 3.5mm auxilary stereo audio input.

The original post was asking about the part number for the 2007+ auxillary tray input. There is a long series on putting the 2007+ tray in pre-2007 truck. See https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=268874
