I have a snuglid and couldn't be happier with it. It's low profile and looks best IMHO. And check my gallery, of course.

I plan on getting a topper on down the road just in case, cause you seirously never know when you'll need it and then when you do need it and you dont have it you'll be like 'FRICKIN A!!!' but if you dont need it imedilantly just go with somthing else.

I like the way that the diamond one opens up but sometimes the shineyness of that will be way to much or over kill. If thats the case for you then get the other one, number 2. Or shop around untill you find a non chrome one that opens up like number 1.

they'll black powdercoat the diamondback for $250...but that puts it pretty near $2K

I don't like toppers one reason I didn't buy the used 2004 XLT I looked at last November as it had one on it and was part of the deal of the truck since it was the same color of the truck. So I ended up with a 4x2 XLT with the 5.4 instead of a used 04 XLT 4x4.
