Engine Vibbbration
Ever since my first oil change, Ive noticed a bad engine vibration from inside the cab. Its not really a misfire, but more of a steady consistent vibration. In other words, sitting in the seat, you can feel it in your back and all over. Ive taken it to the dealer twice, the first time the service manager said it was rougher than normal but that it seemed somewhat normal. After driving for a while I decided that its not normal, and took it back. They installed an exhaust dampner, but that really didnt help at all. Ive searched and came up with TSB 05-5-15, but not sure if that is the latest TSB to use at the dealer. I plan to take the truck to the dealer for several issues all at once to get them to fix it, and I want TSB's for everything so they dont give me the run around.
I think replacing the motor mounts might help, anyone had engine vibration and had it fixed? My truck has a 4/05 build date. Thanks

It is a function in the PCM that isn't setup right. If you data log your vehicle you will see when at idle the spark is jumping all around. Unless they fix it in a PCM re-flash nothing will really help it. I wouldn't waste your time as its not going to solve the real problem.

I had an almost identical vibration, especially at idle. Dealer could find nothing wrong with it after several tries, finally took it to another dealer in the area and they found the fan clutch was about to grenade. One new fan & fan clutch under warranty later and no vibration.
Thanks for info, the service manager said that I had the most up to date PCM calibration that is specified for my truck last time I was at the dealer. I will take it to another dealer for a second opinion on the PCM. If that doesnt work, Im going to try to convince them to swap out motor mounts. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Mine shakes a little every now and again when ideling without the AC on. It's kind of like a minature muscle car feeling and distracts from the Luxury feeling the truck is supposed to have.
