Down in deerfield(one city over from me) if you call the cops they will be there with in 1 minute. No lie, well maybe alittle exaggeration. But they have squad cars all around that city so yeah, 2-3 sounds just right.

Maybe they are the guys with bike... JUST KIDDING. But anyway, nice job you did not only protect your property but you give your neighborhood an awareness too.

Here is another good idea I think all of you have seen the movie FRIDAY with Chris Tucker & Ice Cube do you guys recall that little bastard that kept knocking down the garbage cans and they tried to ****** him and couldn't until later in the movie and Smokie (Chris Tucker) takes his belt off and beats the sh*t out of that kid. Now if you could have done that, that would have been funnier than hell.

Wow... 2-3 minutes would be outstanding. I waited over an hour last Monday night in Omaha after my hit and run.

In Oklahoma, #2 is called the "Make My Day" law!

Bullets travel faster than squad cars do. Unfortunately up in Ohio you would have a LOT of explaining to do. Our concealed law REQUIRES us to NOT have the gun concealed in your truck/car.

Yep -- it'd be a real shame for an average guy to actually be able to protect himself, his family, and his property!

No wonder the damned Libs in this country are so enamored with Canada -- I wish they'd follow through on their threats and just move there!

Good luck. My advice? Better be damn sure you know what you are doing.

Some guy broke into my VW 2 years ago. I came out of the house, found him in the car and drew my weapon. I used to have a concealed weapons permit, I did at the time.

Short story: hot shot cop, hot shot prosecutor, 18 months dealing with the criminal justice system, $25,000 in attorneys fees and staring at 3 years mandatory minimum for aggravated assault... I finally got it worked out.

I say unless the other guy is pointing a weapon at you, you should haul *** and call the cops.

$25,000 will buy you a whole helluva lot of mods for your truck and you do not want the headache of dealing with the court system. Law or no law, if they want to charge you, they will charge you. Then you have to pay to prove your innocence.

If I had it to do over again, I would have yelled out the front door that the police were on their way and locked up and sat tight. As it was, I got cuffed, toted to county jail, had to bond out, hire an attorney and fight for my right to be a free man.

Not fun..

Not worth it, either..

All this other crap is false bravado - take it from someone who used to feel the same way...

Along with the low taxes, yet another reason I choose to live in Bama.

Has Florida not passed a "No Retreat" law? I thought I had read that they passed one a couple of years ago.
