18" Wheels
18" Wheels
I Have a 2004 f150 xlt 4x4 with stock wheels and tires (235/75r17 hankooks). I would like to put a set of 18" FX4 wheels and tires (265/75r18 bgf )on. Can this be done? What changes will I need to make? Thanks for your help
Yes, it is an easy swap. You don't HAVE to make any other mods, but your speedometer/odometer will be off a few mph. It will read slower and show less miles than you are really traveling. Your dealer can recalibrate it for you or you can do it yourself with one of the aftermarket performance tuners (Superchips, Hypertech, Edge, etc).
My XLT came with the standard (for 2004) gray 17" rims, I replaced them with 18" Lariat rims, no problema. And it sure made the truck look alot better. There is a pic in my gallery when i swapped them.
Check the classifieds on this site. If you don't find any there, check ebay. I put a set of 18" FX4 18" wheels and tires on my friend's 05 XL 2WD and they work fine. You wont have any problem.

sure 'nuf- just go find yourself some FX4 18's and you're good to go
