22's are on!!!

22" wipers that is...

With TS Enersto bearing down I figured I'd go ahead and repace my wipers and do the wiper index mod. What a difference!

I didn't order the silblades, but picked up some Trico TripleEdge Silicone's locally...so far they seem fine.

Doesn't the wiper index mod make the driver's side wind shield wiper sit higher up on the wind shield?

Yeah we got your basic thunderstorm last night, nothing unusual. Nice and sunny today!

Yes, although not very much, really. I went up one "notch" and the drivers side is basically even with the passenger side at rest. One more notch and you get better coverage near the A-piller, but the rest postition then is a bit high. I'll shoot a pic tonight.

Also I only changed the drivers side index, not the passenger side - it seemed to work well that way. Plus the 22" on the passenger side doesn't lift off the glass on the far end like it would if the arm was higher...

Picture from front...I moved the drivers side up one notch and left the passenger side stock. From Inside they are just below the level of the bugshield (Ford Hi Profile)...

10hp apiece easy--the aerodynamics added thru the silicone increases the average mpg by 2...

on another note, 78- do you have any more pictures of the hi-profile bug guard? i've always been curious to see what the actual differences between the lo pro and the hi pro are
thanks, J

I'll take a few more...From what I could tell from various online pics, the high and low profile are very simlar where the attache to the hood and the space between the hood and sheild, the hi just turns up more where the low lays flatter. I'll post some pics tomorrow...

hi profile ford bugshield pics...

From side...

From cab, drivers seat abit above eye level...notice the slight peak in the middle - I assume the low pro probably does not have this or at least not as much...
