Removing dealer badges.....

I brought my new 06 F150 SCREW yesterday from a great place in Buda, Tx just south
of Austin. There name is "Truck City Ford". kinda cool name but.......

What do ya'll think of the dealer badges. This one is kinf of big and I am thinking of taking
it off.

Have you taken yours off ?

What should I use...... I'm thinking hot air from a Hair dryer and fishing lin to get
behind it and some WD40 or rubbing Alcohol to loosen the sticy stuff.

Take it off!!!

Use a hair dryer to warm it up a bit, and then take and old credit card to start peeling it off. Once its off, use goo gone to remove the residue, then clean the area with some clay bar, and then put a little wax on. Be careful with the credit card that you dont scratch the paint - the credit card is very soft, but its better to be safe than sorry.

Thumbs up

When I took mine off I simply used fishing line behind it and no heat. Use a sawing motion and it will cut right through the tape used to put them on. The remainder of the tape will roll off using your finger. Then dress up the area the same as the rest of your truck.

When i bought my truck, I told the salesman that the dealer sticker had to come off. They removed it as part of the "make ready".

I used a hair dryer and was able to just use my fingernail to scrap it off, then just go back with some rubbing alcohol to get the remaining "gunk" off. Looks a LOT better without it. I have yet to see a good looking dealer badge.

I just peel them off as soon as I get home. Whether they be a sticker, decal or plastic thing with double-sided tape, they just come right off.

I always make them take the stickers and license plates off BEFORE I take posession

once I had a salesman say he couldnt do it due to dealer policy, so I walked

their loss

I took mine off as soon as I got the truck home from the dealer.I figured I didn't owe the dealership any free advertising. The rebates made the price of my truck reasonable, but it definately wasn't a hella deal.

I didn't let them put them on. I made them take off that illegal liscence plate dealer frame though.

Heat it up, and pull it off, I got mine off without using heat, but it will come off much cleaner if you apply heat and then remove it..
