Price under MSRP for '06 STX

My step-dad is looking to trade up from his '03 regular cab XL to an '06 regular cab STX with a 4.2 and 5-speed. He is looking at this option because of the 0% for 72 months and the new better warranty. The MSRP for the truck he is looking at is around $22K. What kind of deals are people getting on '06 STX regular cabs right now? I told him to shoot for $500 over invoice and the 0% financing (if he qualifies).

Try to find a demo with 3 or 4,000 miles on it... Last month I got an 2006 STX Supercab with power windows/locks/keyless entry/fade to off lighting/carpet for 20,100 with the 4.6l V8. I will never buy a brand new car ever again... slightly used is the way to go.

I got my 06 STX Regular cab 4.2/auto 2 weeks ago out the door for $16,400 using my X-plan from work. I believe window sticker was $22,040.

For a Reg Cab STX 2WD V6 he should pay less than $17k.

For my Scab XLT 5.4/3.73LS tow package I gave $21.9 new.

$500 over invoice is too much. A fair price is to take the invoice price and then subtract all incentives (cash back, ect.). That is a fair price. Anything less is a good price.

My local dealers are offering 25% off of MSRP plus 0%. Most dealers can't give away 6 cyl F-150's, so you might be able to get a sweet deal.

I just bought my 2005 STX 12k 4x4 Tow pkg/side steps/rear defrost/OEM bedliner/6disc MP3/ for $17800 including taxes and title. Not a super deal but a fair deal IMHO I looked. You know the part of the country you are in is a big difference to. As get colder up here trucks go up in price.

The local Ford dealer is advertising all 06 F150s $10000 off sticker, but that is without the 0% interest. It would make a XL or STX very reasonable.
