New 35" tires

Well I came across a deal I couldnt pass up. My step dad just traded his 02' Ranger for an 03' Screw FX4. It just so happened that it needed tires, so he got my 33" Nittos. I ended up getting a set of 315 70 17 Mickey Thompson MTZ mounted and ballanced for $650.00. I wasnt planing on getting a mud tire but at that price I couldnt resist.

Good looking tires. How do they do on highway? Alot of road noise? Always liked the looks of bug lugs on a tire.

Thanks for the comments. They ride nice and smooth and I would say they are pretty quite for mud tires. I have heard better but I have heard a lot worse.

I got the deal because I know one of the guys that works at the tire shop where I got them at. He hooked me up because my family has dealt with them a lot. I love they way my truck looks now.

My highway mpg hasn't really changed but in town it has gone down noticeably. I am going to re gear pretty soon as my stock 3.55's just aren't cuttin it.

Yeah pretty much what I'm seeing...hwy good town bad

Looking at 4.10 vs 4.56...there's already another (actually several) threads on this but 4.10 get us 3.55'er back close to or a little better than stock, and 4.56's give us a good bit more grunt than stock but push up the revs at hiway speeds...I think it's 2300 vs 2700 or so in OD at 75 - I did the math but it's at home I will post later...

Dude 3.55 ? You need at least 4.56.
