Trannie clunk fix

We had to have Ford send an engineer to look at my husbands 06 F350 dualie because of some issues and in the process he told the guy of all the problems I'm still having with my 150. The guy knew exactly what my husband was talking about. He told him they finally found a fix. It is a brass yoke (sp?) He said it's such a new "fix" many places don't know it exists yet. You have to explain it to the service people (go figure). My truck went into the shop this past Monday and they are ordering the parts!

My truck does this real bad at slow speeds at 4 way stop signs when traffic is bad. Glad to see a fix is around now.

No Fix For The '04!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

No Fix! Picked up my 04 SCrew! No Fix. Gave me crap! They said that the brass coupling that was the fix to the "backlashing", is not for my year truck.

Said they've got a new silicone grease that they put in and it is much better then the other grease they used before. So, No Fix. Some crap! I should've known.

Therefore, on the way home, low and behold the wonder grease SUCKS! Didn't even make it home and it was doing it again.

Hope this helps someone else's truck though

I don't mean to shoot this idea down but brass is a much softer metal. It seems that a brass yolk would just be a band-aid fix. The 'clunk' would still be there but the slip yolk would simply absorb the 'clunk' and you wouldn't feel it, but it'd still be there.
