Installing Magnaflow on 06 Screw/ SI/So

I just ordered kit 612 and wanted to know any tricks on install. Never installed exhaust before. Does the factory exhaust have to be cut off or can you remove it as one piece? How did you like the quality of the kit? Sorry for the ignorance..Thanks for the help..

It is a very easy removal/installation and can be done in your driveway or garage. Just go to Magnaflows website, locate the exhaust you bought, and click on installation instructions. There is also a set in the box with the exhaust.
Using a little lubrication on the stock rubber hangers will allow you to remove the old and install the new easier.....

Keep in mind that some of the factory exhaust systems utilize a "tab/slot" connection on the extension pipe. In order to free the factory exhaust you need to rotate the entire system slightly and then pull it straight out to disengage the connection.

Don't ask me how I know.....

I installed the exhaust today, it took a little over an hour. Thanks again for all your tips and help. I love the way it sounds. Did anyone elses have a funny smell after they first ran the truck? I drove about 5 miles and got out and smelled a burned plastic type of smell, probaly just the new exhaust breaking in.

I second that, good tip. Getting that stock system off was a bit of a pain.

Questions, questions, questions

Does this require any welding? Did you get the stainless? Are you happy with the sound quality and level??

The F150 I brought home yesterday got rained on last night... I better go out and get started washing.

I am really happy the system. Easy installation about an hour and a half, my stock exhaust came off in one piece (no cutting, thanks to the tips from this forum), it is all stainless even the clamps, you do not have to weld, but I had the joint over the axle spot welded because the tailpipe kept slightly moving. I really love the sound nice deep rumble, but not too loud. At idle it is slightly louder than stock, but as soon as you hit the gas you definitley hear it. Cruising at 80 on highway you can hear a little drone but not too bad. You can easily talk over it. It is not the loudest kit but I am happy with it.
