Trade in or sell my truck?

Should I try and sell my truck on Ebay or trade it in? I want to get a F250. If I sell on Ebay Im going to ask 24K w/all mods does this sound fair? I have 26k miles on her.

Try selling on ebay and if you don't get what you want, then you can always fall back on trading it in.

Return it to stock and trade it....then sell your parts on Ebay. I promise you will come out better in the end doing that.

The dealership will not give you a cent more for it with the mods on it than stock and most people interested in a modded truck would rather do it themselves than buy one someone else built. You mods will bring 75-80% of what you paid for them new on Ebay (at least thats what I have averaged on my last few cars and trucks)...assuming you bought them "right" to start with.

(BTW I would be interested in those mirror caps if you go that route!)

Sounds like you may make the most money parting out your truck...

No offense, but $24k for a used single cab does seem high to me.

You could get a new supercab for VERY close to that.

Trading in is never good for a nice vehicle, only for absolute junkers. So I suggest listing it on Craigslist, Ebay, and possibly autotrader and give it a few weeks.

It depends. I think that 24 is high. Good luck on trying to get a bank to finance it with it private party. But then again...it depends on blue book value.

As far as trading it in or selling it private party. Arkansas car sales tax is only the difference between prices of what you traded in and what you bought. Not sure how it is in your state, but look into the difference of sales tax prices campared to what you would loose if you bought a 250 without a trade in. That make sense?

Did a quick blue book on it. Since banks won't take into account any and all mods, you will be hard pressed to find a buyers bank that will finance over $19,095 for it. It might be more and it might be less depending on what you have from the factory on the truck.

Sell it privately, you'd get killed on dealer trade in, you'd get nowhere near what any vehicle is really worth at dealer trade.
