GRRR!! Freshly painted yellow lines!!

Hey everyone...just had to vent!!! Well i was on my way home today when i had my arm out the window when something sprayed my arm. I looked down and the whole side of my truck and tires were yellow!! Man was i pi$$ed. It sprayed up the side of the truck to the mirrors, the running boards got it the worst. My nitto tread is now yellow!! I currently dont have any fingernails from scratching the paint off the truck! Any secrets i should i know about? Gasoline didnt even do anything to remove the paint. Its mostly off but the wheel well is yellow! At least the rims were fine. Looks like bushwacker fenderflares are calling my name

I guess you could spray the wheel well black - others have. Sucks.

There is a product called Acrysol. Most body shops have it or something similar to it. It will strip the wax though, so you must re wax after using. Using a clay bar will help some also. Hope this helps. I always heard that the county would pay for paint removal from a vehicle if it was their fault.

Sucks about the paint, but it reminds me of a story. Was interning with the Kansas DOT and had just wrapped up an asphalt overlay and doing the striping portion. I would follow along the striping machine and stay back about 50' or so to avoid overspray and keep traffic off it's tail and at the time we were doing the white right side solid stripe. Well this genius of a UPS delivery man in the traffic line behind us takes to the shoulder to pass traffic so he can make his right hand turn onto a county road. Yeah that crap doesn't dry instantly.

My god the guy running the striper was pissed, cursing him and throwing the finger, hilarious! I just sat there and laughed.

FYI it's not normal paint as we think of it. It's a two part epoxy so it's durable of course. So it will probably take a lot more than gasoline to remove that. Best method would be clay bar on the paint. Tires? Guess it will have to wear off eventually.

WD40 ?
I have seen wd40 used to take grafitti spray paint off a car.
It did not seem to bother the factory paint at all.
