Lift pricing question...

I had one of our local suppliers price out an 8" CST lift for me, and here's the breakdown.

CST 8" lift, installed, labor everything included - $3,893.97

37" Toyo Open Country tires - $1,750.00

Are these decent prices? I also have to pick out which rims I want, and add that to the cost. This is something I am thinking about doing within the next few months or so. I might go with a Moto Metal 950 or 951, haven't decided yet. Anyone?

Not too sure about pricing-My 6" Pro-Comp lift, 17" Moto Metal 951's and BFG AT 35's was $4000 total installed. The lift itself was $1400. Dont remember the other prices.

I got quoted $4900 for the 6" fabtech kit with dirt logics, 35" toyo m/t and 20" mazzi hulks. that comes with installation, mounting and alignment. of course it is all from the same place so that brought the price down a little.

My lift was around a combined $6500 installed with the procomp 4wd coilovers, the total chaos upper uniball arms, adjustable MX6 shock option in the rear. 35 inch procomp mudders and 17 inch xtreme alloys.

yes those are good prices for a CST and open country tires. those tires are ridiculously hard to find (MT) and the CST is a rock solid lift. you definitely get what you pay for and id be more confident romping with that lift versus others

Damn dealerships are installing the Rize 8" now, so I had a chance to look over the kit firsthand. The steering rack is very well done, I'm impressed. The crossmember is ok and there are some things that clearly were for show rather than strength but everything was done well. As said before I'm impressed, I really dig the steering rack function as mine has snapped with my Fabtech, would have been a little more difficult with the Rize (Fabtechs is close to stock but is angled down for less leverage). I'd look into the Rize over the CST, I'm not the only one who has snapped the steering rack.

im just a little biased here but the steering system on the rize is very unique and takes alot of stress of the rack. i turn my 37's like it was a stock tire.

I thought they were all useful . They gave examples of what they paid for their lifts, tires, and wheels. It at least gives you a ballpark price.......

Yeah but IMO* Fabtech and ProComp lifts are second rate quality compared to CST, which is why I asked about the CST lift and everyone started telling me, "Procomp this..." and "Fabtech that...."

See how that could be perceived as not useful? Everyone around here who knows anything about lifts/suspension knows that the CST lift is better quality than all of the others (Rize not included, no opinions on them) and hence costs much more, so when I asked "Is this a good price?" I meant specifically for THAT lift. Anyway, thanks for the input people....

* In my opinion. Everyone knows opinions are like *******s. We all have em and they all stink.
