Badge mod question

I have all factory badges on my 04 screw. Is there something to safely take the black paint off of these badges? Has anyone done this to where the badge is solid chrome color? Does anyone think this would look good on my solid smoke grey truck with chrome door handles and nerf bars? Sorry to nail you with all of these ?s Thanks a million for any responses!

Acetone should take the paint off. Be very careful, it will take the paint off places you don't want it to also.

Run it though the car wash about five times.

I used a paint stripper called strypeeze. It's a very strong paint stripper so you have to be very careful around the rest of the paint. I taped everything off with plastic first. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow if you're interested.

Oh yes I know what you mean also. Nothing like leaving for work at 5am and it already being 75 degress with a nice layer of wetness on your ride. Mmmmm greasy. BTW badges look pretty good but seems like from a distance it would look just like a slab of chrome.

The light reflects off the raised letters enough to make them stand out, but you're right about being too far away.
